beneFIT (Cardiac Rehabilitation)

You have had a heart attack or your doctor has said you are at an increased risk for one. You now have some work to do to bring down your risk and optimize your health. The good news is that we can help you. What is the next step?

In the unique Cardiogenix beneFIT program, we will work closely with you and your Cardiologist over the next year to gradually and effectively optimize all your risk factors like weight, blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, smoking and stress.

Our team of doctors, nurses, dietitians, kinesiologists and, if necessary, psychologists will take you through an intensive lifestyle and risk factor modification program tailored to your needs and at your level. We will do all this via a state-of-the-art medically-supervised, diet and exercise prescription based on the latest research guidelines. You will also work with one of Quebec's top fitness specialists, Adonna Greaves.

We will help you and motivate you to adopt and maintain a healthier lifestyle. It is never too late to take the first step towards healthy living. You have nothing to lose and the world to gain.

beneFIT FAMILY (Cardiac Pre-hab)

Your close relative has had a heart attack. Did you know that now your risk of having one yourself may have increased? Having a father, mother, brother or sister in your family with heart disease is a risk factor for you developing a heart problem yourself. What can you do to reduce your risk and prevent a heart attack?

Welcome to the Cardiogenix beneFIT FAMILY program. Similar to the regular beneFIT program (above), our team of doctors, nurses, dietitians, kinesiologists, fitness specialists and, if necessary, psychologists will take you through an intensive lifestyle and risk factor modification program. However, in the benefit FAMILY Program, rather than re-habilitation, we will focus on prevention in order to reduce your risk of heart attack and stroke to the lowest possible levels.
