Gift Tshuma - Keynote Speaker
Gift Samuel Tshuma cannot walk, and yet he has taken longer strides than most able-bodied people. He is looking forward to talking to you about how any of life's obstacles can be overcome. "I always knew that there are people in this world that experience bigger problems than I, but are able to overcome them."
Born in Zimbabwe, Gift and his mother and brother came to Canada in 2001. After studying at the Mackay Center, Gift pursued his secondary education at Westmount High School, where he discovered his incredible ability to convey his thoughts and his convictions. As a teen, he consistently ranked in the top 3 of every public speaking event in which he participated. His high school years were further punctuated with active participation in the school's leadership and music programs.
Currently, Gift's activities include singing gospel and R&B music with the United Tribulation Force Choir, a band he co-founded, and pursuing full-time Law, Society and Justice studies at Dawson College, hoping to later continue his education in Law at McGill University. Gift is also a motivational speaker. Gift Samuel Tshuma cannot walk. Yet he is looking forward to talking to you about how he (and YOU) can move great distances.
